Jump-start the new year at the annual Polar Bear Plunge in Sea isle City, NJ. Come early, as the polar bears don't stay in the ocean very long! Costume Contest starts at 9am at LaCosta Lounge. The Plunge starts at 12pm with an end time of 12:15pm. Don't miss the Post-Plunge Party at 12:30pm back at LaCosta. The official plunge location, with medical assistance and ocean rescue personnel on the site during the above mentioned times, is between 38th and 40th Street Beach.
On Sunday, the Polar Bear 5k run - 1.5 mile fun walk autism takes place. Registration will take place at 9am at LaCosta. You can also pre-register by visiting www.polarbearrunwalkforautism.com or phoning (609) 602-5734. Following the Run/Walk for Autism, all skill levels are welcome to participate in the Annual Polar Bear Corn Hole Tournament. The event will take place under the tent at LaCosta and proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Polar Bear Run/Walk for Autism.
