The Wildwoods have been an exciting vacation destination since the turn of the 20th century and still today a trip to the Wildwoods promises a remarkably entertaining and memorable experience for every member of the family. With five miles of free white sandy beaches and endless entertainment, it's no wonder Family Vacation Critic named it one of the Top 10 ‘Best Beaches for Families’ in the USA for 2016. When the Wildwoods promises a great vacation for the whole family they mean it, as The Wildwoods Dog Beach was named among the best 'Dog Friendly Beaches' in the Nation by USA TODAY.
IMPECCABLE FREE BEACHES
Wildwoods' impeccable strand of beach is the widest at the Jersey Cape and the best part is that it's free - no beach tag required! The beach is not just sunbathing and swimming, it's filled with exciting events like the Wildwoods International Kite Festival in May, The Race of Gentlemen in June where over 100 vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1947) compete in a beach race at the water's edge. Don't miss the Monster Truck Beach Races in September, Captain Kidd Pirate Day and Treasure Hunt, beach concerts, fireworks and more all year long.
Over looking the beach is the legendary two and a half mile boardwalk that's been dubbed “two miles of smiles” and is home to spectacular amusement piers, world-class roller coasters, interactive water parks, carnival style games of chance, eclectic shops and fun food to indulge your cravings.
WILDWOODS CONVENTION CENTER EVENTS
At the center of the boardwalk is the Wildwoods Convention Center that is host to a dazzling list of concerts, sporting contests and unique special events scheduled throughout the year and was named Winner of SportsEvents Magazine’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Award for Second Year in a Row.
DINING & NIGHTLIFE
It's true when entertainer Fabian sings in his song that “Every night is a Saturday night” because the Wildwoods has award winning dining and legendary nightlife with a unique blend of waterfront dining, Irish pubs and dance clubs. The restaurants of the Wildwoods are ready to serve with the freshest seafood and artisan menu creations that combine with locally crafted wine and beer selections and the best musical entertainment.
